Is AAMW a licensed massage therapy school?
Yes. American Academy of Massage & Wellness is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), License MS1100, which includes Distance Learning for our Hybrid and Online Programs.

What program options do you offer?
AAMW offers three flexible paths: On-Campus (500 Hours) — traditional classroom and hands-on training at the AAMW campus. Hybrid (500 Hours) — 250 hours online and 250 hours on campus, cutting your time on campus in half. Online (250 Hours) — complete the academic portion online from anywhere in Texas, then transfer those hours to a licensed massage therapy school of your choice for hands-on training.
How long does the program take?
The On-Campus Program takes approximately 8 months. The Hybrid and Online Programs include self-paced online coursework, so motivated students may complete either program sooner.
How much is tuition?
On-Campus 500-Hour Program: $5,500 tuition + $200 application fee = $5,700 total. Hybrid 500-Hour Program: $5,500 tuition + $200 application fee = $5,700 total. Online 250-Hour Program: $2,800 tuition + $200 application fee = $3,000 total.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. All programs offer flexible, interest-free monthly payments. On-Campus and Hybrid programs: $500 per month, which may be split into two $250 payments. Quick Start option: begin with 25 online hours per month for $250. Online students may also pay $500 per month.
Can I attend while working full-time?
Absolutely. AAMW offers daytime, evening, and weekend hands-on training options, and our Hybrid Program provides even greater flexibility.
How many internship hours are required?
AAMW requires only 50 internship hours to meet TDLR requirements. We help provide and schedule your internship clients so you can move toward licensure and paid employment sooner.
What is included in the 500-hour program?
Students receive specialty training in Dynamic Cupping, Hot Stone Therapy, Hemp Infused Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Deep Tissue Massage, plus the opportunity to complete CPR/AED certification. The On-Campus and Hybrid programs also include curriculum and digital textbook, lotion bottle and holster, lotion, two sets of linens, AAMW shirts, and TDLR Student Permit at no additional charge.
What is included with the 250-Hour Online Program?
The Online 250-hour program includes curriculum and digital textbook and a TDLR Student Permit at no additional charge.
Does AAMW help prepare me for my career?
Yes. We provide MBLEx/Texas exam preparation, resume assistance, interview preparation, and employment guidance. From enrollment to employment, we're by your side.
Does AAMW offer Continuing Education?
Yes. We offer CE courses for Licensed Massage Therapists seeking renewal hours or additional specialty training.
